I love sharing yoga with just about anyone that will listen! I am a 200 hr RYT, vibrational sound practitioner, and owner of Peaceful Warrior. I grew up as a dancer and learned to connect with my body through movement at an early age. It wasn’t just the beautiful art of the dance that drew me, but the way I felt alive in my own body. As I entered college and the dance classes ended I turned to yoga for an emotional release and fell absolutely in love. When life got crazy I always found myself returning to breathing exercises and postures to relieve anxiety and stress.
I enjoy guiding students through practices that allow them to “feel” the poses and to connect the body with the mind and breath. During practices, I like to give options of either holding poses or flowing through and letting each student meet themselves where they are at in the moment. I end all of my classes with sound shavasana using singing bowls, allowing students to drop deeper into a relaxed state. It is important to me that everyone feels welcome – yoga is truly for everyone no matter your shape, size, age, or level of flexibility.
My favorite yoga pose is Happy Baby, such an awesome hip opener – there is usually one in every class!
