What is yoga?

Yoga began in India over 5,000 years ago as a wellness practice for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. In our yoga classes we focus on postures (asanas) and breath work (pranayama) that unify the body, mind, and spirit.

Who can practice yoga?

Anyone can practice! There is no age, size or flexibility level required, we have classes to meet all levels.

What are the benefits?

There are so many benefits to Yoga!  Just to name a few…

– Lowers blood pressure     – Decreases stress
– Perfects Posture                – Boosts the immune system
– Helps digestion                  – Increases mental focus
– Improves balance              – Peace of mind

Do I need to bring anything?

We have mats and props available for use but you can bring your own if you would like.

Do I need to sign up?

Drop-ins are welcome but to ensure your spot you can preregister on our website or the MINDBODY app.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, breathable, and stretchy clothing that allows for easy movement.

How often should I practice?

You can benefit from as little as one class a week or you can practice everyday for more benefits. Listen to what feels right for your own body.

When should I eat?

It is best not to eat right before class so your food has some time to digest. If you feel that you might get hungry during class you can experiment with a small snack beforehand.

What does “namaste” mean?

Namaste is often said at the end of classes while bringing the hands to the heart and bowing the head as a sign of respect, meaning the divine in me bows to the divine in you.
